Kea's reading group

Vincent Van Gogh Sunflower Art!

To finish off our learning about sunflowers, we looked at the famous Vincent Van Gogh Sunflower painting. We then watched a you tube clip to create our own. This took a few sessions to complete each stage but they are all finished now and look great! You are welcome to pop into class and see for yourselves!

Superheroes writing group

We have been learning to write the sounds we can hear in words. We are getting really good at the beginning sounds so we are listening to sounds we can hear in the middle and end too!

 

  

  

Smurfs writing group

The smurfs writing group (Luka, Georgia, Ashtyn, Kayla, Amelia, Lotti & Niksham) have been learning to write an introduction about themselves to post to a penpal from Haypark School in Auckland. Over the last week they have written a draft, edited with help, and published. Now we will post it away and eagerly anticipate our reply!

  
  

  

Pukeroa & Pukehangi Sports Day 2017!

On Thursday 2nd March we held our Pukeroa & Pukehangi Sports Day. I was so proud of all of our C6 Superstars - so many fantastic 'give it a go' attitudes and encouraging each other. We certainly have some sporting talent in our class, with Egypt winning the boys 400m race, and Lotti winning the 400m girls race!
