Suevenz's Writing

Little Red Riding Hood in C6!

• We are learning to re-tell a story in the correct sequence
• We are learning to work cooperatively in a group

Today in C6 we listened to the story "Little Red Riding Hood". We then got into groups and had to work together to write down the characters names, and the sequence of the story; what happened first, next, and last. We then did a play in our groups and acted out the story, with a few brave groups performing to the class! Our next step is to re-tell the story in our writing books independently. 

Celebrating success - our principal award winner!

Suevenz was our principal award winner this week for: Suevenz's go for it attitude is admirable. She is always trying her best in her learning and challenging herself. She is making progress in reading by sounding her words out and making predictions by looking at the pictures. Her independent writing is improving because she knows her learning intention and aims to meet the success criteria every time! Suevenz you are a kind, caring, and respectful classmate for C6 and we are all proud of you. Tino pai!

Pukeroa & Pukehangi Sports Day 2017!

On Thursday 2nd March we held our Pukeroa & Pukehangi Sports Day. I was so proud of all of our C6 Superstars - so many fantastic 'give it a go' attitudes and encouraging each other. We certainly have some sporting talent in our class, with Egypt winning the boys 400m race, and Lotti winning the 400m girls race!
