Aquatic Centre Fun!!

On Wednesday, the Pukeroa Team had their end of year celebration trip to the Aquatic Centre. We swam, had a picnic lunch, played on the playground, and played with some sports equipment. When we got back to school, we had a surprise iceblock!! Fantastic behaviour and attitudes from all of our C6 Superstars!! A great way to celebrate a year of hard work and achievements.

Dirt Cakes!!

Today we made dirt cakes! In two groups, the students mixed milk, chocolate instant pudding mix, and whipped cream together into a creamy mixture. Then in a plastic cup, we made layers of crushed oreo biscuits, and the cream mixture, then added worm lollies on the top. We let them set in the fridge for an hour. While we were waiting, we wrote about 'how to make a dirt cake'. Once we got to eat the delicious dirt cakes, we added onto our writing about how they tasted. #science #maths #literacy #participating and contributing #turn taking #working together #fun learning
