Dinosaur Eggs!!

We have been learning about extinct animals, we started by learning about dinosaurs. What better way to capture the students interest and motivation by creating dinosaur eggs then dissolving them!
We started by making the dinosaur eggs using a mixture of baking soda, water, and food colouring. We let this set and dry overnight. The next day we buddied up and placed our dinosaurs in a container, then dissolved the baking soda outer by pouring vinegar over the eggs. We watched the reaction and then brainstormed what we could see, hear, and feel. We then used our class brainstorm to do our writing. What a fun experiment!! Motivation and engagement levels were 100% :)
